Kate Eldridge

Playwright

Vancouver Island born and raised, Kate graduated from the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria, BC and is currently living and working out of Toronto. Kate has been pursuing theatre both on and offstage for the past ten years. Some favorite performing credits include The Penelopiad (CCPA), Z-DAY: The Anthem for the Post Zombie Apocalypse (BBPP), The Drowsy Chaperone (LCT), The Light in the Piazza (CCPA), Beauty and the Beast (CYMC), and of course The Race, the Voice and the Gentlewomen with the Gold Fever Follies in 2011. Kate also had the privilege of training as a playwright under the mentorship of dramaturge Christopher Weddell to create two original works, the first with a group of her peers …Some by Virtue Fall and her first solo creation, Mockingbird.
Kate first came to Rossland as a performer and is incredibly grateful to the Gold Fever Follies Society for giving her an opportunity to give something back to such a wonderful community. Special thanks to Lisa Henderson and Ray Furlotte for their passion and commitment to bringing the arts into Rossland, the cast and crew for bringing the show to life, and to you, the audience, for supporting live Canadian theatre. Kate would like to dedicate this script to Kathy Moore and Dave Cornelius, the best hosts and tour guides imaginable. Hope you enjoy the show!
