Leeanne, a former Intercontinental and North American Muay Thai Kickboxing Champion has been fortunate to have studied dance for 25 years with such great dance teachers as Erica Wendland, Julie Teindl, Rhonda Michilik , Krista Monson (Choreographer for Cirque de Soleil) Cindy Kerr (Rythmatics), Brock Edwards, (Tap Dogs), Moe Brodie (Harbour Dance and Vancouver Grizzlies choreographer), Brad Rapier (Groovaloos) and Jennifer Bishop(Urban Tap Squad). She started her young career as a competitive dancer where she won various awards in Western Canada and the U.S. Leeanne is graduate of Grant MacEwan College where she received her diploma in performing arts, which included studies in vocal performance, acting and dancing. She has also attended other Performing Arts Universities such as the Vancouver Film School. Leeanne has been tiressly promoting teaching and performing the art of tap, jazz, hip-hop and musical theatre at Turning Pointe Dance Studio for 10 years where she was a resident teacher and choreographer. She recently was awarded a most outstanding award for her choreography. Leeanne brings to the Follies her years of experience as an actor in such great shows as “Can Can”, “Crazy for You”, “The Gerry Steinfeld Show”, “WKLP Rock and Roll Radio”, “The Secret Garden” and “Strike Up the Band” to name a few. Lee also contributes her enthusiasm as a dancer, director and stage manger. Leeanne has appeared in parts in films including “Josie and the Pussycats” “Dark Angel” “2-Gether” plus various other commercials. Her choreography for film and various music videos can be seen around the world. Leeanne is founder of Balancing Act Children’s Performance Theatre in Calgary and Co-founder of Solstice Productions in Toronto. Leeanne was a member of the Follies for four years and has directed the performances over the years.
