Originally from the Dominican Republic, Annick is a classical trained ballerina where she had the opportunity to perform numerous shows of all styles such as Amor Brujo, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Hot Jazz, Sleeping Beauty among others in Ballet Clasico Santiago, a Cuban ballet school in her hometown Santiago. She later graduated in 2015 obtaining the professional title of classical ballerina and pedagogy in level I and II. In 2011, Annick competed in the Third International Championship of Danza Activa 2011, winning the silver medal in individual variation and gold medal in group choreography in Panama. During her ballet studies, she spent several summers in New York City training in Jazz, Modern, Flamenco, Ballet among other styles with Ballet Hispanico and 92y Harkness Dance Center. In addition to dance, Annick developed a devotion for musical theatre in her last three years of high school where she performed Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. and appeared in shows such as Aladdin, The Great Gatsby, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella among others in the national theatre of her country. Annick recently graduated from the Canadian College of Performing Arts’ Two-Year Enriched Performing Arts Diploma where she performed in her first year with the renowned Victoria Symphony in Broadway Lights and just played Rosalia in CCPA’s year end show West Side Story at the McPherson Playhouse. Annick is more than thrilled to be part of this year’s Gold Fever Follies family!
