Mimi Hicks is a Canada based artist who is currently training at the Canadian College of Performing Arts to hone her skills in acting, dance, and singing. She’s always had music and dance embedded in her and could be found making up dances even at two years old! Her close relationship with music stemmed from a love of piano playing which also led to the clarinet, saxophone, and ukulele. Although she always loved dance, she didn’t start official classes until she was 17 years old where she was forced to choose between dance and band; music is the foundation of Mimi as an artist and will always be something that inspires her, but it was dance that electrified her body and made her feel alive. From there she dove head first into the dance world and trained under Kim Breiland at Stages Dance Company and experienced so much there is to know about the world of performance. She is so very thankful for all the opportunities she’s had to grow as an artist and will continue to grow and follow her passion.
