Mimi Hicks is a Canada based artist who is currently training at the Canadian College of Performing Arts to hone their skills in acting, dance, and singing. They have always had music and dance embedded in them and could be found making up dances even at two years old! Their close relationship with music stemmed from a love of piano playing which also led to the clarinet, saxophone, and ukulele. Although they always loved dance, they didn’t start official classes until they were 17 years old where they were forced to choose between dance and band; music is the foundation of Mimi as an artist and will always be something that inspires them, but it was dance that electrified their body and made them feel alive. From there they dove head first into the dance world and trained under Kim Breiland at Stages Dance Company and experienced so much there is to know about the world of performance. They are so very thankful for all the opportunities they’ve had to grow as an artist and will continue to grow and follow their passion.
